Liebe Malediven-Freunde.
Protect the Maldives
ist eine Aktion, die im Malediven-Net Forum geboren wurde. Sie hat zum Ziel, allen Malediven-Touristen
ein paar Informationen über das sensible Ökosystem der Malediven nahe zu bringen, damit die
Belastung der Inselwelt durch Touristen abnimmt. Dazu haben wir ein Informationsblatt erstellt,
das informiert und zu einem rücksichtvolleren Urlaub aufruft.

in Deutschland, Österreich und in der Schweiz.
Damit diese Informationen
zu den Touristen gelangen, wollen wir unser Informationsblatt in jeden Bungalow der Touristeninseln
platzieren. Für die dortige Auslage haben wir eine Mappe erstellt, die aus unserem Informationsblatt
in acht Sprachen besteht. Diese Mappen bieten wir den Managern der Inseln kostenlos an. Ein
mittlerweile großer Erfolg - immer mehr Inseln wollen unsere Mappen auslegen. Das größte Problem
ist der Transport der Mappen auf die Malediven. Der reguläre postalische Transport ist sehr
teuer und leider auch sehr unzuverlässig. So ist z.B. schon mal ein Paket nach Mexiko gegangen
und als es nach 3 Monaten zurück kam, waren die Broschüren alle beschädigt. Wir brauchen deshalb
freiwillige Mitnehmer, die sich bereit erklären, ein Paket Broschüren mitzunehmen und am Flughafen
beim Insel-Counter vor dem Ausgang abzugeben. Die Mappen sind zu je 50 Stück verpackt und wiegen
pro Einheit etwa 5 kg und auf der Verpackung steht die Empfänger-Insel.

Wie kriege ich Broschüren?
Ganz einfach: E-Mail an Joern Bernard info@protectthemaldives.de und dann Adresse, Zielinsel, Abflugdatum und
die Anzahl der Einheiten, die ihr mitnehmen könnt, angeben. Ich sende euch kostenfrei die Päckchen
zu, zusammen mit einem Hinweis, an welchem Stand am Male Airport auf Hulule ihr das abgeben
sollt. Kosten die Kilos nicht Geld? Bei Austrian Airlines und Lauda Air, Thomas Cook und LTU
kann jeder Malediven-Reisende 30 Kilogramm Gepäck mitnehmen. Allerdings muss das Tauchgepäck
in einer separaten Tasche sein. Der Hauptkoffer darf nur 20 kg (23 in AT) wiegen (mit LTU-Card
oder Air-Berlin Card 30 kg). Da keinen interessiert, was in der separaten Tasche ist, und auch
ein Schnorchel Tauchgepäck ist, kann ein Pärchen insgesamt 60 kg Gepäck mitschleppen. Und da
die Mappen am Flughafen abgegeben werden, braucht keiner Sorge vor einer Nachbelastung am Wasserflugzeugschalter
zu haben. Mit der Mitnahme von Mappen sichert ihr den Erfolg unserer Aktion. Helft bitte mit!

Protect the Maldives is an action which was
born in the Maldives Net Forum. She has the aim, all Maldives tourists to bring some couple
of information about the sensitive ecosystem of the Maldives, that the load of the island-world
by tourists decreases. To this we have made an information sheet which informs and calls for
a moving view wholer vacation.
Dear Maldives friends in Germany and Austria
So that this information about the tourists
reaches, we want to put our information sheet into every bungalow of the tourist islands. For
the display there we have made a briefcase which consists of our information sheet in eight
languages. We offer these briefcases to the managers of the islands free of charge. One in
the meantime big success, more and more islands want to interpret our briefcases. The greatest
problem is the transportation of the briefcases on the Maldives. A regular postal transportation
isn't financier cash. We need voluntary tappets which agree to take along and to hand in to
the airport briefcases. The briefcases have 50 pieces in a package and the weigh is 5 kg per
unit. The package looks as the photo.
How do I get this briefcases? Very simple:
Send a e-mail to Joern Bernard info@protectthemaldives.de
and then the adress, the aim island and the number of packets which you can take along. I send
you the packets free of cost together with a note at which stand on Hulule you give this to
her should. The kilos don't cost money? With Thomas Cook and LTU every Maldives traveller can
take 30 kilograms along. This must be diving baggage in a separate bag. The main suitcase may
weigh only 20 kg (with LTU-Card or Air Berlin Card 30 kg). No-one interests what is in the
separate bag and a snorkel is also a diving baggage, a pair can for together 60 kg con-trains!
And since the briefcases are handed in to the airport no-one needs to have worry at the seaplane
counter with an after-taxation. You secure the success of our action take along with this of
briefcases. Help us!
